A big Sale-A-Bration Send Off from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafters.

I was going through my projects to post here last night and realised I had several pictures of Sale-A-Bration projects to share with you.

So today in celebration of the last day of Sale-A-Bration 2015 I thought I would share the last of my projects using all of my favourite SAB freebies.

And don't forget there is still time to earn your own Sale-A-Bration freebie by placing an order today for £45+ in product. You can order any Stampin' Up! products via my online store by clicking here.

The first of my projects is this Thank You note I created for a recent customer order using the fantastic Lotus Blossom freebie stamp set.

I stamped the Lotus Blossom in Hello Honey, Tangelo Twist and Blackberry Bliss. I used a strip of Painted Blooms Designer Series paper. I then created the Thank You by punching a Whisper White Note Tag and stamped the greeting in Blackberry Bliss. I embellished with three Brights Candy Dots.

I had a Stampin' Up! party at the weekend with some lovely ladies. We celebrated the end of Sale-A-Bration (and the special extra Sale-A-Bration products available in March only) with these two cards created using the gorgeous Sheer Perfection Designer Vellum.

We coloured the reverse of the Designer Vellum and mounted on to one of Stampin' Up!'s precut and scored Note Cards. The butterfly is stamped in Blushing Bride and the greeting in Rose Red. The stamps are both from the Butterfly Basics stamp set.

If you'd like to find out more about any of the products I have used please click on the product links below. Don't forget Sale-A-Bration ends today. These additional exclusive products will not be available beyond today.

Thank you for popping by today. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! or our products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop (or click on the links above to find out more about specific products) or get in touch directly and I  can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door.

A Wetlands Birthday Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good evening and a happy crafty Monday to you.

I'm posting a bit later than usual today as I got a bit carried away playing with the girls this morning and then we went for a 5 mile walk and I completely forgot to post my project.

I have another of our March card class makes to share with you today. As you can probably tell if you read my blog regularly, I need no excuse to break open my Wetlands stamp set to create a project. I just adore these water birds.

This card was inspired by a project I had seen on Pinterest. I love the use of this 'spotlight' technique to highlight part of the image.

I cut a small piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and used repositionable adhesive (I used a tiny bit of Snail adhesive and then patted my finger on it to take out a lot of the stick) to attach it where I wanted on the card. I then stamped the Wetlands birds across the card three times. I then removed the smaller rectangle and daubered the Crumb Cake for the sand and Pool Party for the sky.

I cut a piece of Soft Suede cardstock 0.5cm bigger than the Very Vanilla to layer underneath.

To finish the card I used Neutral Candy Dots in the corners. It was only when I came to post these pictures that I realised my card has lost one of its Dot in the lower right corner. But you get the idea.

Just a quick reminder that Sale-A-Bration ends tomorrow. So if there is a freebie you'd love to get your hands on they are available for one more day only!

Thank you for popping by today. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! or our products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop (or click on the links above to find out more about specific products) or get in touch directly and I  can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door.

Wellie Boot Butterfly Basics Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Happy Friday crafters.

What a fantastically busy and crafty week I have had here at Stampin' Sarah! HQ. I've been busy planning a special product class next week using the Painted Petals stamp set and matching papers. I've also been making Hostess Club gifts for my lovely virtual club members (more on that next week once I've taken some pictures). And lastly I have fallen in love with this online crafty project. Going to give it a go (with a lot of help from my Mum no doubt).

I have another of our card class projects to share with you today. This is a project and template I have cased from Stamping T in Australia. I loved the simplicity of the wellie boot template which could be used in endless combinations for all the gardening or outdoor loving people in your life.

For this card I used a Very Vanilla cardstock base and then stamped the flower from Butterfly Basics in black ink. I then layered the fern/leaf image by stamping multiple times from one inking in Wild Wasabi. I coloured the main floral image and then stamped and punched two little butterflies from Papillion Potpourri.

I finished with Candy Dots in tones of purple (taken from the Regals and Subtles Dots) and Basic Pearls to embellish the butterflies.

I absolutely love creating different shaped cards and this one is perfect for the time of year with Spring beginning to show itself in all the beautiful blooms popping up everywhere.

Thank you for popping by today. Don't forget Sale-A-Bration finishes on Tuesday so only a few more days to take advantage of all the lovely freebie products available only while supplies last.

Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! or our products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop (or click on the links above to find out more about specific products) or get in touch directly and I  can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door.

Easter Bunny Chocolate Treat Box from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning and a happy (if not a little chilly) Wednesday to you today.

So Wednesday brings new Weekly Deals. And what a fantastic week of specials we have this week. My favourite crafty tool, the Envelope Punch Board, is a bargain this week at just £13.46 and the Regals Paper Stack is £14.63. Combine these with some cardstock and you'll have reached your £45 spend for an extra Sale-A-Bration freebie. This is why I LOVE Stampin' Up! Not only are the products high quality and great value but you earn freebies for using and buying the products.

So on to today's crafty share. This is a project inspired by my upline Michelle who provides a great tutorial on her blog. I loved the simplicity of using the Scallop Tag Topper Punch to create the little bunny face.

I used scraps of patterned papers to punch the nose and the middle of the ears. I stamped the daffodil in Daffodil Delight using my Petite Petals stamp set and punched with the coordinating punch. This is a lovely sized little box for filling with Easter chocolate-y treats.

Sheer Perfection Designer Vellum Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafty friends.

Happy new crafty weekend. I hope you all had a lovely crafty weekend. I managed to get some more quilting done (well I sat and cut 36 perfect rectangles ready for the next step in the sewing process).  Saturday was also my monthly card class with my lovely ladies. We had a full house this month and my ladies still managed to be packed up and finished half an hour early. More challenging cards on the list for next month....

Here is one of this month's makes. I'd seen a similar card over on Amy K's blog and decided to give it a go. I absolutely love the Sheer Perfection Designer Vellum which Stampin' Up! have added as part of the bonus Sale-A-Bration product offering. I love the printed designs and they are perfect for coloring and layering on to cards.

For this card I managed to use two of the 15.2cm square butterfly design pieces and create 8 cards from them. I cut 3.8 cm strips from the designer vellum and coloured on the reverse using Pear Pizzazz, Lost Lagoon and Pool Party Stampin' Write Markers. I then mounted on to a Whisper White piece of card cut to the same size.

For the stamping we used the butterfly image from Papillon Potpourri and stamped in Lost Lagoon on to the Pool Party card layer. We then stamped the greeting from the Butterfly Basics stamp set in Island Indigo to overlap the butterfly image. To finish we used a short length of Linen Thread and a Regal Designer Button.

With only 1 week left of Sale-A-Bration it is the perfect time to place your order for all the lovely products in the Spring Summer catalogue. You will get 1 Sale-A-Bration free product for each £45 you spend. So with the purchase of the stamp sets used in this card plus the In Color Markers you could receive the Sheer Perfection Vellum for free! Who doesn't love a good freebie?

Here is more info on the 4 exclusive products added to Sale-A-Bration for March only.

Swallowtail Birthday Greetings from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafters. I hope your week is going well so far. I can confirm that the coconut chocolate cake I shared in my last post was delightful. And I have put on half a stone just by looking at it ;0)

I have a quick 40th Birthday Card to share with you today. It must be a week of 40th celebrations. I made this for my Mum to give a work colleague.

I was looking for inspiration from my stamp cupboard and settled on the beautiful Swallowtail stamp. I love this large butterfly image and I haven't had it out of its box in a fair few months. This is what I came up with.

I stamped the main image on to Naturals Ivory cardstock using Rose Red ink. I then cut around the butterfly edge to give the shaped front layer of the card.

I created the birthday sentiment with the Memorable Moments stamp set. I embellished with Basic Pearls (the smaller I coloured with my markers).

For the corner stamping I used Blushing Bride and Encore Gold ink with the butterflies from the Perpetual Birthday stamp set and the roses from Painted Petals. I used my Encore Gold ink pad to add daubered gold around all the card edges. It gives a lovely antique-y vintage feel to the card.

It is Wednesday so be sure to check out the latest Weekly Deals from Stampin' Up! This week features lovely ribbons and embossing folders.

A very Happy 40th Birthday celebration with Yoda from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good afternoon and a Happy Monday to you!

Today is my other half's 40th so we've had a morning filled with fun and treats and birthday pressies. He is a big Star Wars fan so I bought him the Star Wars trilogy from the girls as a gift. So of course he needed a card to match. I found this fantastic tutorial from Sarah-Jane showing you how to create a punch art Yoda and knew I had to give it a go. I'm really pleased with the result.

I used Night of Navy cardstock with a Brushed Silver layer (I also used this for creating the moon and light saber). Yoda is made with Old Olive and Crumb Cake cardstock which I then daubered with coordinating ink round the edges.

I found an amazing paper cutting artist on Etsy that made this beautiful Lord of the Rings layered card. Sam absolutely loves the Lord of the Rings stories so I knew this would make a perfect gift. It is a bit of a cheat for a cardmaker to buy a card I know but I was busy creating Sam's birthday pressie.

And here is what I made. I used a template from Etsy from NineFingerJo which I purchased and printed at home. I then spent a couple of weeks cutting a little each day. This was the most complex papercut I have cut to date and it was certainly fragile. But I got there in the end. I searched all over the internet for the right iridescent paper and found the perfect colour to create the dragon's chest. All in all it was a labour of love. But Sam was super pleased with it. So it was worthwhile ;0)

And here is my final crafty creation for the day, Sam's cake! This is a bounty cake. I used a silicone bundt cake tin and layered chocolate sponge mixture with a mixture of caramel condensed milk and flaked coconut and then more sponge mixture. Unfortunately it all got stuck to the tin but you'd never know after I embellished with melted white chocolate!

As you can see it is all still in one piece. I'll have to report on whether it tasted good in my next post ;0)

Hostess Club Adventure Awaits Notebooks from Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafters.

Its nearly the weekend. Hope you have lots of craftiness planned. I am hoping for a big Project Life catch up. Going to spend some time this evening printing pictures ready for adding to my album.

My crafty share today is a project I made for my hostess club members to accompany their February orders. I absolutely adore the Adventure Bound Paper Stack and Adventure Awaits Stamp Set (also available together as a bundle) and wanted to put them together to make these pocket sized notebooks.

This one is my favourite of my creations. I find any stamp against this brick design looks like fancy graffiti. I just love the effect.

I also had some issues with a very juicy White Craft Pad which gave this large design a more watery effect than I had intended. But I felt it matched the wave papers in the background.

I accessorised each of the 10 notebooks I created with complimentary coloured Candy Dots.

An extra special glitter napkin technique 1st Birthday Card from Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Hello crafty friends.

How has your week been so far? Ours has been super busy as today is Sylvie's first birthday. So I have been making cake, prepping food, wrapping pressies and just generally creating bits and pieces ready for her day today.

I wanted to share the birthday card I made for her using the napkin technique (I talked about this technique here). I had picked up the party napkins and plates on a recent shopping trip and thought this technique would make a great little memento of her birthday party so set about using one of the napkins to create this SU inspired card (colour combo Rose Red and Pink Pirouette).

Once I had created my napkin layer I covered with Versamark and Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder. I heat set the powder and then embellished with little extras from my Artisan Embellishment Kit (I adore the little pink resin flowers).

Here is another crafty share for you. A creation from Summer this time. This was her fantastic cat she made for her sister as a table centre piece. I am super impressed with her creativity and flair (and love of cats too).

And last but not least. Here is the birthday girl enjoying the celebrations.

Butterfly Basics meets Painted Blooms from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafters.

Happy Thursday to you. How is your crafty week going? I had my lovely Hostess Club ladies round last night for a bit of craftiness and a cuppa. We had a lovely catch up over a card. I run my Hostess Club evenings every other month. I would love to welcome you to the Hostess Club, either locally or virtually (I can provide project kits if you are unable to attend), you can find out more here or by dropping me a line on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk. And don't forget you'll benefit from sharing in regular Stampin' Up! promotions, a handmade gift from me each month and one month of hostess freebies.

Today's crafty share is inspired by this Jennifer McGuire tutorial I found on partial die cutting. I loved the simplicity of creating a dimensional fancy fold with my Butterflies Thinlits Dies.  Although after prepping 8 of these card bases I did begin to wonder what had inspired this creative fancifulness (each card required 3 times through the Big Shot).

I used the Butterfly Basics stamp set to create the Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight butterflies. Both the Thinlits and Stamps are available as part of a fantastically priced bundle  (only £36.25 for the photopolymer bundle).

I layered a strip of Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper over Old Olive cardstock and secured this to my base layer (so the butterflies overlapped). I then finished with a Melon Mambo coloured pearl (I used my Blendabilities markers to colour my pearl) and three Brights Candy Dots.

Birthday Bash Lined Berry Basket from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafters.

How was your weekend? I had a lovely crafty day out on Friday with Mum. We popped to the Make It show in Farnborough. So much lovely inspiration and crafts to have a go at. Mum and I tried our hands at block printing to create a tea towel. I love trying new things although I really don't have extra hours in the day for new crafts *lol*

And did you see the new Sale-A-Bration products? What a great way to start the crafty week!

Today's crafty share is a little basket I created for my Monthly Card Class ladies. I used a base of Bermuda Bay cardstock with the Berry Basket Bigz Die. I then cut a second basket with Birthday Bash Designer Series Paper to line the inside of my basket.

To accessorise the basket I punched a bow using my Gift Bow Punch in coordinating Birthday Bash papers.
